Recreating Your Summer

When we’re kids, summer means one thing and one thing only—freedom. The minute that final school bell rings, we know the next three months are going to be nothing but slip and slides, water fights, and sleeping late. But what about adults? Once you grow up, summer stops meaning that immediate sense of freedom. Rather, we have to spend those warm days in chilly, over air-conditioned offices. Rather than donning our bathing suits, it’s high heels and pencil skirts. Sure, we get paid, but when it’s 90 degrees outside, the tradeoff seems a bit harsh.
Luckily, there are items for adults that approximate the feel of summer. When you get home from work, lounge for an hour or so in your hammock bed. These hammock beds are readily available in many different stores as well as online, and a brief bit of searching will surely reveal a huge selection. Whether you enjoy rope or fabric designs, hammocks have a special way of making you forget all your troubles. Really, who can be mad in a hammock? As you gently sway in the warm weather sipping a cool drink, even the most stressed out corporate higher up will feel like a kid again on the first day of summer.
